affected primarily due to drought , non payment of
cane and general economic backwardness in the region,
SCM Sugars Ltd., has successfully implemented its
integrated Sugar- Cogen plant in the Koppa village
of Mandya District in Karnataka in the year 2004 and
set new standards in factory-farmer relationship.
Presently operating at
3500 TCD capacity sugar refinery & 26MW co-generation
plant using the latest technology of sugar manufacturing
and energy management, SCM is rapidly expanding its
operation by acquisitions and setting up green field
integrated sugar complex in sync with bullish long term
outlook of the industry and robust Indian economy.
The company is in the
process of setting up 90 KLPD ethanol plant in the present
facility to capture the economics of the bio-fuel.
